walking in lazily into a class late doesn’t really make a very good first impression. Plus! story-telling DEFINITELY doesn’t sound like the best subject. Then, the teacher I saw having his nose pierced and stylish spectacle is not exactly the kind of person i would expect teaching such a “captivating” subject let alone the fact that he worked in MTV before. That pretty sums up the first impressions i had of Mr Leslie.. awesome? totally.
Writing stories is definitely not my forte but not saying that i will not try.. but.. oh well! you get what i mean. I really believe that having a good opening to a story can impact the kind of attitude or reaction to the story. Like many people other than me, we look for good openers to captivate us, entice us to read on and more. To keep us coming back for more. THAT is really important to me.
Learned about writing good stuff on paper too. well.. I think that the part of getting your ideas to flow onto the paper and having it to work may prove to be a tricky point for me. Ideas may be aplenty but to get them altogether for a fantastic story is seriously nerve-wrecking! “does it flow?! does these make sense?! will my readers understand my story?!” These are questions i will ask myself when i start writing and i will sometimes just blank out because of the amount of pressure i place on myself. I hope i’ll be able to express myself better now learning how to be a good storyteller and move with the flow!
